Whitetail Deer Hunting
Our farm lies on the northern edge of Pike County, Illinois, right in the middle of some of the best whitetail deer hunting territory in the world. About half of the 350 acres are in timber, with the rest in pasture and crops, providing the deer with plenty to eat. Two creeks run through the farm, and a natural spring ensures that there is always fresh water to drink.
We’ve been renting space to deer hunters for about ten years now, and they’ve brought down many large 8-10 point bucks. We get regular reports of 12-14 pointers, but no one’s shot one of those yet. If you’d like to be the first, contact us to see what weeks we still have available this year. Illinois tags for out-of-state hunters didn’t sell out this year, so there’s still time. We still have spaces for both bow and gun hunting.
- The cost is $200/day per hunter or $1000/week.
- Groups of four are preferred, but we may take smaller groups if weeks are still available.
- We are not outfitters; you bring your own stands and put them wherever you like, and get yourself to the tree. You can put up multiple stands and move as often as you please. If you need help getting your deer out of the timber, we’ll give you a hand.
- We have an old camper with electricity you can use, but most guys prefer to stay in a motel about 10 miles away.
- A couple of our family members hunt, so you may see us out there, but there’s enough timber that we’ve never had a problem with crowding.
Here’s your chance to get in on some of the best deer hunting in the country, at a reasonable price. Contact us soon!
